Spiritual Awakening – Part 3 – Emotional

Spiritual Awakening – Part 3

Emotional

A large part of spiritual awakening includes addressing our inner selves. In order to ascend/evolve and grow spiritually we have to address our traumas and those unhealed parts of ourselves. This process can not be bypassed and it will be different for everyone. I would highly recommend seeing a qualified therapist to learn and understand more about the family lineage in which you were born. It will help you to understand your family dynamics and the filters from which you view things. Although it can be difficult – you are actually so courageous and brave and have the capability to not only affect generations below you, but to assist your current family members and to develop and grow those relationships.

We are not born with emotional understanding or awareness. You need an outside person to be able to see you objectively. You can read all of the books you want, but most times we are not able to see our own areas that are unhealed. There is no reason to suffer or to try and figure it out on your own. Let others help you. The end result is worth it. Below is a list of some of the things you may experience:

1.    Bouts of sadness/crying:

In order for us to evolve spiritually, we must purge our lower vibrational emotions. There will be periods during this process where you will find yourself crying for no reason. This can be from your own emotions, your family lineage or the collective consciousness.

You may never know exactly what ‘caused’ the crying. Just go with the flow here and let the tears flow. It is a purging, a release of those emotions.

You may also find yourself being moved to tears easily. I remember seeing a picture of a pink crystal and just crying at it’s beauty. A lot of these experiences are also a heart chakra awakening as well as becoming more aware and appreciative of the absolute beauty and wonder of life – which is a good thing!

2.    Anxiety:

Anxiety is already a prevalent emotion in my observation. This process can increase one’s anxiety and is one emotion that I have definitely had to manage. These incoming energies can be intense.

I have had entire months where I felt on edge and had a hard time being in public.

Part of this, for me, also has to deal with being an empath and being sensitive to energy in general.

The energies can make you feel ungrounded – which can lead you to ultimately feeling anxious.

I think that these energies also amplify whatever you already have. So if you suffer from anxiety already, these energies may exacerbate them.

I’ve had to refrain from being around other people. Some suggestions to assist: reduce caffeine intake, ground – using tourmaline, shungite crystals, walk barefoot on the ground, take Epsom salt baths and in general – practice self-care.

3.    Loneliness

This is one of the main reasons I started this blog because this process has the effect of possibly turning one’s life upside down. And people may find themselves not only understanding what is going on, but also have tremendous emotional upheaval and begin to feel completely isolated. This loneliness can be devastating. One of the most helpful things I found was finding other like-minded individuals, kindred spirits, or soul tribe.

So I highly recommend seeking others so that you can share your experiences to seek support to help you find resources and ultimately to connect as spirits along the journey. Here are a few suggestions:

·         Put it out to the Universe – Affirm “I meet and connect easily with other like-minded individuals” or “I have found my tribe” or any other phrase that resonates with you.

·         Pray for meeting like-minded others

·         Look at local  meet-up groups

·         Research seminars, retreats or events

·         Visit healing places and ask for recommendations (ex: yoga studios, acupuncturists, reiki or other healers, crystal shops, metaphysical shops)

·         Throw a weird topic out to a co-worker or friend “Do you ever watch Ancient Aliens?” “Have you ever seen a UFO?”

4.    Dark Night of the Soul

I will address this in more detail in another article because this is such a large topic, but want to address it briefly here. Many people going through this process will experience a ‘dark night of the soul’. You may find yourself in extreme emotional distress at some point. As recommended earlier – I will always recommend seeing a qualified therapist.

This emotional distress is caused by the ego breaking down. It can also be caused by mental constructs (Belief Systems) that are have been broken down which cause a break in the psyche. I don’t think people appreciate how much their sense of self is bound by foundational belief systems. Once people become aware of the lies, the control systems that have been put upon them “who” they have though they were – when these are all destroyed – they can cause extreme emotional distress. For me – it was the most awful experience I’ve ever had.

 5.    Dreams

You may begin to experience vivid dreams. The energy begins to work through your subconscious through dreams. You may find that your dreams become more “real.” You may start to notice animal symbolism – fish, snakes, alligators, lions, tigers, etc. It would be a good idea to start a dream journal. Write down your dream as soon as you wake up. It’s a good idea to keep it on your nightstand. Start to analyze your dream. A great resource is dreamhawk.com to help you with dream symbolism and interpretation.

Your dreams assist with bringing up emotions and traumas that have been buried deep within. Once you start to understand their meaning – it can help you process those emotions that have been previously ignored. It is amazing to me to go and read old dream journals and to see what I was processing and how far I’ve come. Your dreams can also be precognitive. You may realize even years later, that your dreams were telling you of future events.

6.    Sensitivity to Energy

Another aspect to spiritual awakening is becoming more sensitive to energy. I’ll admit – this one has caught me off guard on more than one occasion. As the awakening process occurs you become more self-aware and more aware of other people. What you may have previously accepted from other people may no longer be tolerable. As you raise your vibration, you become more in alignment with your true self. You may become irritated by people who:

·         Interrupt you

·         Gossip

·         Complain

·         Judge

·         Monopolize the conversation

You also just may realize that you have nothing in common, or you end up feeling drained or otherwise bored of the conversation.

This can lead to abrupt endings of relationships as your energy often “refuses” to be around other people’s energy. The key here is to try and be respectful while maintaining your own boundaries and changing self.

7.    Questioning everything

As the process unfolds, all areas of your life come up for review – your career, relationships, and belief systems. Since you’ve been under the ‘veil of amnesia’ this new ‘you’ is just beginning to be birthed. What resonates with this new ‘you’? You may find that your career has gone from tolerable to realizing that you want to do something more in alignment with your soul.

All relationships – spouse/significant other, friends, family, co-workers, all come under scrutiny as well. You may long to spend time with others who are of like mind. And you go through the process, those that no longer resonate will naturally fall away and those that do – will fill the void they’ve left. Be patient in the relationship rebuilding area – as this can take time.

Although these experiences can be difficult – the main thing to realize is that you are not alone. Journaling was immensely helpful for me. Walks in nature and exercise in general is also good.

The key is to take care of your self during this time and allow these emotions to be processed.

Spiritual Awakening Symptoms – Physical Symptoms

So you have come to understand that you are undergoing a spiritual awakening – now what? I’ll address the different aspects to it and recommendations and suggestions for you.

There are a myriad of physical symptoms that you may experience going through this process. First and foremost – always check with your medical team to rule out any physical health concerns.

In this article, I’ll address some of the physical symptoms that can be associated with spiritual awakening:

  • Illness (nausea, flu-like symptoms, hives, etc.)
  • Fatigue
  • Odd sleeping patterns
  • Food/alcohol sensitivities and cravings
  • Feeling ungrounded/floating/dizziness
  • Visual changes/anomalies

For the above-mentioned symptoms – I’ll address some causes and/or recommendations to assist with them.

1. Illness (flu-like symptoms, stomach issues/nausea, rashes/hives)

These can all be symptoms of the body purging out the denser emotions through the physical body. This can range in severity from person-to-person. Although this process can be uncomfortable, the purpose is to clear the physical body. The best recommendations are to take care of yourself – rest, drink plenty of water and let your body heal. I’d highly recommend against trying to ‘power through’ these symptoms when they occur. That will only delay your body’s need to heal.

2. Fatigue

This is by far the most common and most frustrating symptom to deal with. The fatigue is caused by the incoming energies which are packets of consciousness. These energies are being integrated into the body. They can only be integrated through sleep. Each person can take in only the amount of light/energy that they are able to handle. The fatigue can also be caused by you ‘leaving’ your body during sleep and ‘working’ in the other realms. So you may wake up not feeling rested at all. Unfortunately, the fatigue can also hit us mid-day when these energies come in. If you are unable to rest, resist the temptation to drink caffeine and instead try drinking spring water if available or herbal teas.

If you are able to – sleep! Even if it means ignoring chores or social activities. You are not being a slacker!! Your body needs the rest – so sleep. If your body needs 10 hours of sleep, then sleep 10 hours. This then leads us to the next symptom – odd sleeping patterns.

3. Odd sleeping patterns

This could be one of the first experiences that you have – waking up in the middle of the night and unable to go back to sleep. I am not sure exactly why this happens. Sometimes it is because of the incoming energies. It is definitely frustrating if you have a normal day time job. You will find your overall physical energy levels fluctuate greatly. You can go from extreme fatigue to having very high energy. The body is undergoing changes. Sleep is needed to integrate the energy – but I believe the processing of the energy may cause overall disruption of sleep patterns. You may feel a sudden need to nap during the middle of the day. If you are able to – by all means – take the nap!

4. Food sensitivities/alcohol/caffeine/food cravings

As your body raises its vibration through incorporating these packets of consciousness/light – the physical body can no longer tolerate lower vibrational foods and substances. Gluten, dairy, meat, alcohol, caffeine,  preservatives/chemicals, GMO food, pesticide-laden food – these may all become intolerable to the physical body. The main thing to understand here is to observe when you start to feel bad due to ingesting a certain substance. You may begin to feel fatigue, nausea, develop hives or you may be unable to eat certain foods because you can now taste the chemicals, excess salt, etc. You may be unable to process alcohol anymore – you body may reject it altogether or you may become so sensitive that you can only drink a small amount. Caffeine may begin to make you super jittery or anxious. You may also just lose your tolerance altogether to caffeine.

For me – the most notable was I could taste the preservatives and chemicals in foods – so certain foods I could no longer tolerate. You may also find yourself craving certain foods. I would follow your own intuition in these instances. I craved tuna fish for every meal for at least a week at one point. I later came across someone who said that they craved sardines for every meal. These cravings will come and go – just go with the flow.

I would recommend adopting a high-vibe diet and incorporate these foods as much as possible – local, non-GMO, organic, raw and/or cooked with drink lots of fresh spring water.

5. Feeling ungrounded

One of the most unusual symptoms I have felt is feeling ungrounded. This makes you feel somewhat floaty, somewhat dizzy and very spaced-out. This is just one of the effects of your body raising its vibration. The best way to ground is to go outside and put your bare feet onto the ground and ground into the earth. You can also visualize a root extending from your own body down into the earth and taking root into the middle of the earth. You can also purchase crystals to assist with grounding – which is what I use to keep myself grounded. Some recommendations are: black tourmaline, shungite – or any black crystal really, red jasper, or hematite.

You can find these crystals through my website: http://www.tropicaexotica.com

6 Visual changes/anomalies

Again – I will always recommend seeing a medically trained professional for any health concerns. I went to an eye doctor myself after experiencing some visual anomalies just to make sure nothing was physically wrong.

Some of the visual anomalies may include:

  • Gloopy/blurry eyes
  • Not being able to focus easily
  • Seeing bright white flashes of light
  • Seeing tiny white lights
  • Seeing things out of the corner of your eyes

Some of these experiences are due to your 3rd eye opening – which I will cover in detail in another post for ‘psychic experiences.’

The other eye symptoms are caused by your physical body adjusting to a higher vibrational state and are part of the process.

7. “Leaky” ears/ringing high-pitched sounds

A symptom that I’ve experienced more recently – is the ‘leaky ear’ sensation. To me, it feels like a tickly sensation. So I find myself engaging in a little Q-tip war because I find it tickles the inside of my ears. From what I understand, this is due to 3rd eye opening. You may also find your ears ringing or hearing a high-pitched sound on occasion. It can vary from ear to ear, or it can be both at the same time. I believe this is due to you opening up to the other realms. For others – some can be more sensitive to the energy coming in – so they can hear it.

These are a few of the main physical symptoms that you may experience. In my next article – I’ll cover some of the emotional aspects.

What about you? What physical experiences have you had? Any helpful tools or remedies that you’d like to share? Please feel free to comment!

Spiritual Awakening – An Overview

My intention with this blog is to help others who may be going through a Spiritual Awakening process and might not understand what is happening and need support on their journey. I intend to try to explain things in a somewhat logical order although that won’t always be the case as this topic has a lot of twists and turns.

So what is a Spiritual Awakening? Spiritual Awakening is an awakening to who you truly are as a soul. It is happening collectively, but it is an individual process. And the process is different for everyone. For some – it can be dramatic – as in a Kundalini Awakening. For others, it may just start as a feeling of discontent and/or you may begin to question things. And then there are others who are born ‘awake’ but that is rare.

Since everyone is at a different place, I’ll begin with some basics of what you may be experiencing:

  • You may feel upsetting emotions (anger, sadness, fear) that you can’t exactly determine why you feel that way
  • You may begin to feel disconnected from those around you – like you don’t really enjoy their company anymore. This can apply to friends, coworkers and even family members. And this feeling of disconnection can make you feel very lonely.
  • You may have odd sleeping patterns – waking up in the middle of the night and unable to go back to sleep.
  • You may experience bouts of fatigue and/or anxiety
  • Your body may become sensitive to certain foods, alcohol, and products
  • You may begin to notice that you see the same numbers like 11:11 and other repeating numbers like 333, 444, etc.
  • You may be to experience a myriad of different physical symptoms (I’ll discuss more in another article)
  • You may develop a sudden interest in your health – such as becoming vegetarian, vegan and learning more about mindfulness and alternative forms of healing – such as yoga, meditation and acupuncture
  • You may become interested in learning more about esoteric topics
  • You work may become so dissatisfying that you may begin to question your current line of work
  • You may begin to feel out of control emotionally – dark night of the soul
  • You may experience vivid dreams
  • You may begin to experience more supernatural types of experiences such as
    • Seeing or feeling spirits or entities
    • Seeing energy such as auras around people
    • Hearing voices
    • Having out of body experiences

What is happening is that you are becoming more in alignment with your true self – what resonates with you who you truly are and becoming more aware of the Truth that has been hidden from you. As you begin this process, every area of your life becomes into clear focus for review to determine if it matches you. If not, it will be released to allow that which does to enter your life.

You will start to seek others, either consciously or unconsciously that are similar to you – that match your current vibration.

You soul will begin to direct the course of your life.

Once you realize what is happening, things will start to make more sense. I had a lot of issues early on because I had my 3rd eye open due to a Kundalini Awakening. It was experiencing a lot of supernatural things and couldn’t figure out how to make it stop. I was afraid to go to sleep at night. I don’t think most people are experiencing that, but I do plan to discuss that in more detail in a later article.

Besides all of the weird phenomenon I was experiencing, the most difficult part was not having anyone to talk about who could provide any explanation or to assist me in this process. What ended up helping me the most – emotionally – was finding other like-minded people that I could learn from and share information and to provide emotional support. It was probably the single best thing that helped me – as being isolated during this process makes it extremely challenging.

So fear not! We are all on this journey together! Although the process can be challenging, the rewards of living in alignment with your true self is worth the struggles you may encounter. My intention is to provide as much information and tools as possible to assist you on this journey!
