As we kick off another year, I thought it would be good to take a look at what I plan to leave behind and what I plan to bring into my life for 2025. This is just my own perspective, not expecting anyone else to follow suit – but just thought I’d share my plans.
Out – Caffeine and Alcohol
So, starting off strong – caffeine and alcohol. I actually quit drinking caffeine in December, so I’m ahead of the curve on this one. I still like coffee, so plan to continue coffee for at least awhile, but just caffeine free. I have known that caffeine is normally removed by using methylene chloride, so upon further research I found that they now have a process using water – so was happy to find that out. I found that our local grocery store in Texas (Famed HEB) carries a brand – Casa Ole that is water processed. Other accessible brands are Peet’s which can be purchased at Target. My reason for leaving caffeine behind is because I do feel that it is not good for the brain, and I don’t like the idea of being dependent on it and getting a headache if I don’t drink it. This frees me up to do a juice cleanse if I want to. It is hard on the adrenals, so I’m excited to see how this journey goes. It actually only took me a week to wean myself off it. I had planned to do 1 cup, then ½ a cup the next week, but I just did 1 cup one week, then started on decaf. Normally, I would drink up to 4 cups a day on some days, so I’m surprised that I was able to switch to decaf within a week. I also think from a spiritual perspective, that caffeine is not beneficial. It is too stimulating and probably overworks our already overloaded nervous systems. I’m also excited about how my natural energy feels. I’ve been drinking caffeinated coffee since college!
Now, alcohol. This is a controversial topic amongst spiritual people. There are people on both sides of this topic. Some don’t think it has any place, saying “spirits” refers to the spirits that you can draw to you while on alcohol – and I don’t disagree with that. That can definitely happen, and I can share some personal experiences with that. However, many people in the spiritual community do drink. I have been one of those people. But I think that I’ve come to the point in my spiritual evolution where it doesn’t really fit in anymore. Over the last few years, we have also seen a trend where people are just cutting alcohol out of their lives or switching to non-alcoholic drinks – such as mocktails. I actually just saw a truck drive by the other day that said “zero proof” – then all the alcohols – rum, gin, tequila, etc. I had not heard of that. From a collective perspective, other people are also feeling the need to remove alcohol from their lives.
Part of my rationale for this change is that I can tell that the energy just keeps increasing and alcohol really does not help when trying to navigate intense energies.
I do want to say a brief note about negative entities (spirits) associated with drinking alcohol. It is true. Alcohol does lower your auric field allowing entities in. I’ve personally experienced this a few times. If you do drink, it is a good idea to put up protection and cleanse your auric field afterwards.
Now, having said that, if there is a special occasion, I may have a glass or two of wine, but in general, I plan to leave alcohol behind in 2025. I have done Dry January in the past and I can’t say that I noticed anything really different, however, I’m excited to see how it goes with longer periods without alcohol and caffeine. I am really curious about how my mind, energy, and sleep are impacted by these changes.
Out – Mindless Scrolling/Social Media
If there is one thing that makes me sad in general about society is how connected we are to our phones. I find it so upsetting seeing people walking their dogs and looking at their phone. I think we don’t even realize how addicted we are to our phones sometimes. I know that I must also be disciplined with my own behavior – but at least I can walk my dog, look around, and enjoy nature without my phone in my face!
I have been better so far, and honestly, I can tell it is impacting my overall mental health. I think, (especially these last few days with the California fires) it is so easy to feel sad, distraught, helpless, or any other range of emotions while being online. I think sometimes we don’t even realize how our moods are impacted by social media. By not focusing on my phone, I can tell that I’m feeling better. I recently listened to a video, and someone was saying that they kept their phone off one entire day a week and they had done that for 22 years! I like the idea of just being offline.
The other concern that I have is that being online or on our phones, we are taking away time from ourselves and not being in our Creator State. We came here to create. If we are constantly focusing on attention on anything other than our own plans – then we will look back and go where did my life go? I want to look back at my life and know that I spent time doing what I wanted to do, focusing on things I was interested in, not randomly looking at images or videos for hours on end.
Out – Listening to Psychic Predictions
First, I just want to say, I have no issue with people making predictions. For me, though, I just prefer to focus on what I’m creating. I think the last few years were very challenging and most people were trying to understand what was happening in the world, and understandably what is going to happen next. But I think I’m just in the phase of my journey where I am just going to roll with the punches.
One problem that I have is that a lot the predictions are something that we can’t do anything about – if it were to happen. The other thing is that a lot of the predictions are not positive. I don’t want to add any energy to something that is going to put me into fear.
Over the last few years, I’ve made more than one mad dash to stock up on supplies. Since then, I’ve learned a lot about the shelf life of most store-bought goods – including canned goods! Had no idea that they didn’t last forever 😊 I think I’m over it!
Out – Limiting Beliefs
Limiting beliefs are like putting a box with prison bars around your head. We don’t even realize that we have them sometimes. Over the past few years, I’ve gotten better about becoming aware of my limiting beliefs, but this year, I really plan to be more cognizant of when I am not being open to possibilities.
Okay, now onto the fun stuff – finally! What I plan to bring into 2025!
In – Community
One thing that I’m interested in is forming a community of like-minded individuals. When I watched the Blue Zone documentary on Netflix, one thing that was common was just how many of them had a community. I remember this one group in California that would meet every Sunday for dinner. Over the past few years since we were all dealing with the Covid scare and everything that came with it – isolation, confusion, relational issues, I think that it caused many of us to take a deeper look at our lives since we had time to think for once.
And with that, I think came a greater understanding of what is important. One thing that I’ve realized is just how much we (at least in America) come home from work and keep to ourselves, or go to kids’ events or whatever, but do we have a support system?
Historically, people handed down remedies, shared resources, shared information. It seems that in current times, the extended family, friends, or our neighbors just hasn’t provided what we need.
When I think of community, I think of people who are like-minded, have similar values, can provide guidance/assistance to each other, share information/resources if needed. I plan to actively create this community in 2025. If that is something that resonates with you – then try creating one where you live!
In – Radical Self-Care
And now I have to talk about how 2024 was INTENSE from an energetic standpoint. The solar flares were days on end. As someone who is sensitive to energy – this was challenging for me. Over the years I’ve gotten better about understanding energy – what adds to my energy, what depletes it. Navigating solar flare energy still provides a challenge. Some nights – I can’t sleep, some days I’m just soooo tired. It’s all part of the process as we integrate these energies. These were next level this past year. And that is part of the reason why I’ve decided to cut out caffeine and alcohol because it is just too much for my poor little vessel – lol!
By Radical Self-Care, I mean really prioritizing what I need to be not only functioning but thriving. I plan to focus on improving my diet to more ‘high-vibe’ foods – more raw, living foods where I can. I think one of the keys to navigating the Ascension process is following a high vibe diet of mostly living foods – raw, sprouted, organic, non-GMO, etc – the ideal diet. I know that it is a process, so I’m going in that direction this year.
I’m also planning to focus on more exercise, more meditation, more hydration. All the things that we should be doing, but haven’t been – at least in my case.
In – Ceremonies
Ceremonies are a great way to create a moment where people can gather, connect on a more intimate level creating a sense of togetherness. Ceremonies have been done historically, but have gone by the wayside in modern culture, save for a few of those dedicated to the path. I plan to up my game this year and participate and/or lead ceremonies. It doesn’t even have to be something formal like a ceremony – it can even be a prayer group. Any type of activity where people join together in a common cause and spend time together with the same intention. I have participated in ceremonies over the years, and it always stirred something inside of me that felt very familiar and at home.
In – Artistic Expression
We all came to create, and artistic expression is an amazing way to allow your creative energies to flow. It can be anything from drawing, painting, gardening, music, dancing, writing – anything where we are allowed to express ourselves. I like to draw and paint and like most people, I’ve been wrapped up in the 3D world not focusing on ‘fun’ things. This year, I plan to change that. There is something so relaxing about getting totally into the groove in something that you are completely lost in, being totally in the moment. I distinctly remember one time drawing a tiger with colored pencils and losing all sense of time. It is such a healthy thing to do – especially when we have been spending our time mindlessly scrolling on our phones.
In – Spiritual Expansion
Woohoo! Finally, the most exciting thing! Since my Kundalini activation – 10 years ago, the focus on all things spiritual has waxed and waned over the years. While I’ve always had one foot into spirituality one way or another, recently, I’ve been interested in many topics and am excited to explore them. It almost seems as if they are placed on a plate in front of me – a pile of books – here ya go!
That happens in life – sometimes things just seem to take a life of their own. I’m sure it has to do with some planet being in some house, but whatever the reason, I’m glad that I do have this interest. That is one thing about the spiritual journey – it truly is a journey! Over the years, I’ve studied many topics, read many different books, watched tons of videos, followed different people and I’m sure my views have changed over the years.
I remember asking a co-worker about unity consciousness – like “how are we all one?” lol! At least I have a better understanding of that one.
One thing that I have done recently is started writing down synchronicities, psychic experiences, and dreams all in one notebook. I think the more that you write down your experiences, the more that you tune into the messages. I also think that the Universe acknowledges your recognition and sends you more!
I personally think that 2025 is going to be a great year. It’s time for us to step into our soul’s journey and align with what resonates with our heart. For those of us lightworkers, that means forming communities, participating in activities that nourish our bodies, minds and souls as well as settling into our authenticity. I wish you a wonderful New Year!
